The Gastroenterology department provides best treatment for patients suffering from various Gastrointestinal, Liver, Pancreas and Biliary system related disorders & its well equipped with UGI Endoscope, Pead. Endoscope, colonoscope, duodenoscope and endoscopic ultrasound scope.

 Particular expertise in management of :

  • Decompensated liver disease and its complications due to any etiology
  • Viral & Auto immune hepatitis
  • Non alcoholic fatty liver disease
  • Acute and Chronic pancreatitis
  • Inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and crohn’s disease)
  • Control of gastrointestinal bleeding
  • Dilatation of oesophageal, pyloric, colonic and anastomotic strictures
  • Placement of stent in oesophagus, duodenum and colon
  • Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG)
  • Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy with Jejunal extension (PEG-J)
  • Removal of foreign bodies

 Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography (ERCP)

Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

  • Assessment of gall bladder and bile duct for microlithiasis (very small stones)
  • Pancreas gland assessment for chronic pancreatitis, cysts or other lesions
  • EUS guided Fine needle aspiration/biopsy of lesions in pancreas gland, mediastinal lymph gland and submucosal lesions
  • EUS guided drainage of pancreatic pseudocyst

The department offers wide variety of surgical procedures for all the diseases related to gastrointestinal, liver and pancreas. The department consists of highly qualified and experienced staff members. The department is equipped with state of the art equipment to compliment the experienced staff to offer high class service to our patients.

This unit consists of  twin operation theater with ultramodern gadgets. Advanced Modular Operation Theater with Hi-Definition Laparoscopic Unit for invasive surgical services to ensure precision, minimum  pain and best outcome.

Department of Radiology 

Ultrasound and Colour Doppler studies: The working area of Ultra-sonography has two Doppler machines and ultrasound machines. The equipment list includes one Philipd HD 6 and Toshiba Nemo. About 30-40 ultrasound examinations are done each day in the department. Ultrasound guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are also done in this area, with about 2-3 procedures being done each day.

Special radiographic procedures: These include, Enteroclysis, barium studies, IVPs & MCUs. Most of these cases are done on a Meditronics– Fluoro 500mA machine. The cases are performed by a radiographer and Radiologist, with about 3-4 Enteroclysis and special procedures being done each day.

PTBD is also performed with Siemens C Arm.

Our pathology is a combination of latest gadgets & very well trained technical staff. Full time pathologist Dr. Neetu Kumar who has experience in Hematology and Biochemistry and is an expert histopathologist and cytologist of the town.  

Labs are equipped with high end infrastructure to handle the samples effectively and efficiently to deliver quality ensured rapid results. Round the Clock diagnostic services are available for hematology & clinical pathology.

A total of 100 blood samples from OPD and Inpatients are processed everyday. In addition to routine blood tests facilities for special investigations like Bone Marrow aspiration & Biopsies are available.
